CMF BONABERI IN BRIEF (INTERNAL RULES & REGULATIONS) BIRTH The Christian Men Fellowhsip Bonaberi was founded in the year 1991, through the guided efforts of Brothers Fominyen Oscar and Butchu Sahfor Gideon. They started under a makeshift tarpaulin structure hosting the Bonaberi Congregation at the time, with an enrollment of seven (07) members. The first batch which was shepherded by CMF Bonamoussadi had as President Brother Butchu Sahfor Gideon. This poineer batch of seven members was dedicated on the 12th of April, 1992 by Rev. Esau Andongatou. This batch attended the first CMF Annual Rally, with an observer status in January 1992 at P.C Tiko, South West Province (presently South West Region). The group was present at its 2nd Rally in 1992, hosted by Bonamoussadi, this time as a full-fledged participant. GROWTH Over the years the group has grown both quantitatively and qualitatively (spiritually). Rev. Nja-ah Peter Toh dedicated the 2nd batch of twenty seven (27) members on February 27th, 1994. This trend has been on a steady rise since then, with fifty “babies” joining the fold during the dedication of the JUBILEE BATCH in 2007. As per February 2019, twenty seventh (27th) batches have been dedicated into CMF Bonaberi. The group presently enjoys a membership of over three hundred and fifty members and leadership has passed through the following hands: • 1991 – 1993 : BUTCHU SAHFOR Gideon. • 1993 – 1996 : Fominyen Oscar. • 1996 – 1998 : Ntumfor Nico Halle. • 1998 – 2004 : Nyamboli Martin. • 2004 – 2006 : Asana Thompson. • 2006 – 2009 : Azong Charles (acting) • 2009 - 2012 : Nji George Zuboh • 2012 – 2014 : Elangwe Peter Nanje • 2014 – 2019 : Nintai Joseph Mimbang • 2019 – Date : Abbey Thomas So far the group has produced more than seventeen elders (with an eight on ten score of the current male elders in P.C Bonaberi as of 2009), a Presbytery President for the then East Mungo South Presbytery (Ntumfor Nico Halle 1999 – 2009) and the current President of the East Mungo Region and head of the Advisory Board of the ALL AFRICAN CONFERENCE OF CHURCHES. The group has also produced the first and second Presbytery Presidents of the Mungo Presbytery. Elder Elangwe Peter Nanje and Brother Bengynella Ndifon respectively. GENERAL PROVISIONS. Subject to and without prejudice to the National Rules and Regulations of the CMF and in conformity with the constitution of the PCC, the CMF Bonaberi group has adopted the following Bye-Laws (Harmonised Rules and Regulations). ART 1: MOTTO. “Truth and Service to the Lord”. (John 14:1-6, Joshua 24:14, 1 Samuel 12:24) ART 2: GREETINGS “With us in mind. (Response) God had a better plan”. (Hebrew 11:40, Jeremiah 29:11). ART 3: MEMBERSHIP a) Membership shall be open to all baptized men of the PCC not less than 21 years old and MUST be communicants. b) Full membership is recognized after a probation of at least 6 months, provided the member satify membership requirements, followed by a dedication in a devine church service. c) Pay a registration fee and purchase a membership card. d) Purchase of Official Uniforms. ART 4: RECEPTION OF NEW MEMBERS. New members will be welcomed in to the group on official meeting days (Thursday) by the President or the Vice President or a Designated member. ART 5: GROUP EXECUTIVE. PART ONE: STRUCTURAL ORGANISATION.
